I'm always on the lookout for breads that my mom and dad can eat with their respective intolerances to fruit and potato. There are almost none, especially since they additionally don't want to eat wheat anymore. The gluten in wheat can be hard to digest, even for those without intolerances to it.

With them in mind, I was excited when I learned about Pacha! Their bread is made from sprouted, fermented buckwheat, making it easily digestible. Contrary to its name, buckwheat is not a type of wheat and is actually related to rhubarb. Since the ingredients in Pacha's Original Sourdough are just buckwheat and sea salt, it seemed as though it should be good for everyone!

I bought some and gave it to my dad (Dr. Zeff), asking him to test it. He did, and found that unfortunately it does have fruit, but doesn't have potato. I'd hoped to have found bread for my mom, and will continue looking for fruit free bread. Still, I'm pleased to share that this bread has:

No potato

No egg

No wheat

No gluten

No dairy

No sugar

No meat or mined salt

Just about everyone (except for fruit intolerant people) should be able to have it. I will continue my search for fruit free bread. In the meantime, if you'd like to buy this excellent bread, I have a gift from Pacha that I can pass on to you!
